A natural sone pool definitely couldn't miss in the restoration of this Tuscan farmhouse situated near San Casciano dei Bagni, one of the most suggestive towns in Tuscany.
The outdoor swimming pool is integrated into a relaxing area with a gazebo leaning out on the Tuscan landscape and, how not to do it, obviously made in Travertine that probably is the most used stone for outdoor flooring in Siena area, very versatile and surely ideal as pool flooring.
The Becagli Travertine has been chosen for this swimming pool, a characteristic material among the Rapolano Stones, with strong tones and perfect to create movement in huge surfaces without ever being intrusive.
The pool flooring and deck under the gazebo is composed by modules of 1 meter by 60 centimeters, creating a scheme which is the guide for all other elements; as the outdoor kitchen composed of 5 modules of 60 centimeters by 1 meter depth, with the joints of the flooring climbing up on the sides of our bespoke OCO kitchen, or the stone table which is actually an extrusion of two floor panels, as if it was arisen directly out of the stone flooring.
Going back to the natural stone swimming pool, which is totally clad in Becagli Travertine too, the stone is installed in cross-cut on the bottom and on the inner stairs treads, and in vein-cut on the sides and on the stairs risers, recreating in this way the natural disposition as in the quarry; a solution we use to suggest for all the pools clad in travertine.
The staircase inside the stone pool creates a color game of the water increasing it blue intensity because of the increasing depth.
The waterfall standing before the landscape further embellishes much more this natural stone pool. Indeed, waterfall is a must for the stone pools.
