16 Apr LIBRAM | New tables collection previewed at Milano Design Week
The tables collection designed by Kensaku Oshiro will be displayed in an absolute preview during the Milano Design Week.
Introducing Libram, the new collection of tables developed in collaboration with Kensaku Oshiro: a project that explores the relationship between form, matter, and gravity, translating an essential yet complex principle into natural stone: balance.
The collection consists of two interlocking conical elements, which, combined through two types of bases and three tabletop variants, give life to nine different configurations.
The proportions of each element derive from a mathematical calculation that harmoniously synthesizes various design conditions: functionality, manual weight handling during installation, and stability under load.
These requirements relate to a fundamental characteristic of stone — its weight — which becomes both an essential tool and a constraint for the project.
With Libram, stone is not merely material to be shaped, but a design device capable of determining form, function, and process. A project that returns the material to the center, exploring its potential through an essential and contemporary language.
Libram will present itself to the general public with its most representative piece, the totemic circular dining table, accompanied by the more intimate coffee table.
The tables from the Libram collection will be one of the protagonists of our Design Week, come to discover it in preview from April 20th to the 26th, at the Listone Giordano Arena on Via Santa Cecilia 6, in Milan city center, along with other novelties.
