As its name suggests, this white travertine is a typical material coming from the extractive basin of Rapolano.
It is a quite uneven beige-ivory sedimentary stone, with more or less intense tones; it sometimes tends to white and presents local dark grey areas. Porous, with submillimetric pores.
Thanks to the excellent technical and mechanical features and thanks to the fact that it is antifreeze, it can be used both indoor and outdoor. With specific finishes, it can be also used in places where the adoption of anti-slip surfaces, such as external pavements, swimming-pools, and bathrooms, is necessary.
The white Travertine of Rapolano, like the other Travertines of Rapolano, was also used to realize very important architectural pieces of art, such as the ticket office of the Central Station in Milan.
