There are many varieties throughout the world, we prefer those coming from Tuscany, more precisely from the extractive basin of Rapolano.
It is a sedimentary stone, with a brown color, which varies from dark to hazelnut, with possible white avory veinings and several vacuoles, which are usually covered with opaque hazel-coloured calcite crystals, that make the material porous.
Thanks to the excellent tecnical and mechanical features anh thanks to the fact that it is antifreeze, it can be used both indoor and outdoor. With specific finishes, it is usable even in places where the adoption of antislip surfaces, such as external pavements, swimming-pools and bathrooms, is necessary.
Walnut Travertine, as the other ones from Rapolano, was employed for the project of very important architectural works, one of these is the ticket booth of the Central Station in Milan.
