Extracted out of Botticino and other bordering quarries east of Brescia.

Marble of dark cream priming and flowery spots, lighter and deployed uniformly. Extremly compact material.

Its remarkable compactness, the low absortion and porosity and its mechanical qualities (resistance to compression, flextion and use) make the Botticino particularly fit for external use. Altough these features don’t prevent its use for different productions.

Marble used by ancient Romans to built the old Brixia (todays Brescia). We can find it more lately in the Altare della Patria in Rome, in the White House in Wasinghton, in the Liberty Statue and the Central Station of New York.
